NO MORE BLOGGING ??

It appears that way huh.  I’ve completely lost interest in blogging.  What’s up with that !!??

I know there have been times in the past where I’ve gone long periods of time without blogging but it was always on my mind that I needed to do a post.

This time is different – it’s not even on my mind.

Perhaps that will change – Perhaps it won’t.  I just don’t know.

  1. C'est la vie. That's life. Only you know what works for you. Sometimes it's better to live life and enjoy it.

For us, I write because I love it. Plus we're not getting any younger and we want to remember what we've been doing. How easily we forget! Bob and I love to go back and read bogs from a few years ago to remember all the cool stuff we've done. Australia! Blue Ridge Mountains! Waterfalls galore. So much to remember.

We'd love to keep reading about your particular travels, but if it works better for you to just enjoy the experience, then that's great for you! Maybe just an update once in a while, like a Reader's Digest version?

  3. That would be sad....for us who can't read about your adventures anymore. But you know best what's good for you. I am like Susan, I feel the need to express myself in writing. I wrote long letters to friends long time before I even knew about blogging.

  6. You know that we all care about you and would love to hear from you, but it's okay if you don't want to blog. There are millions of people out there who don't blog. I'm like Susan - I blog so I can remember. I went back and reread my blogs for Jim's surgery in 2012 so I am more prepared for what to expect this year. Also, I can't remember anything anymore. Just take good care of you, dear friend.

  7. We all seem to have dry spells where we ask ourselves "is anybody out there reading our blogs"? Not everyone comments so it is hard to tell. However there are people that can't travel the way we do and live their lives through our blogs. Even just posting now and then helps us to know that you are okay and to see where you are and what you've been up to. Save your writing for the bad weather days that you feel like staying in rather than going out. It does help to pass the time.
Here is hoping that this is only a temporary feeling and that we'll be hearing from you again soon.
    Be safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

  9. I relate. I have been a compulsive writer in the past. Now I am surprised when I realize a thought I just had could be a blog. Life changes. Just know we are still out here in case you do decide to write.

  11. Hey... good to stumble upon your post. Honestly, it's raining, our cat is on my lap, and I just happened to pick up Tom's tablet that was beside me on the sofa and scanning some blogs. I don't do that often... must have "felt" something because there popped up your post of yesterday. Go figure :) Anyway, nice to "hear" your voice in your words. As for not blogging... each of us should do what we like... that's why we live this lifestyle after all the years of doing what was expected of us! Enjoy your summer, and we're still looking forward to catching up with you this coming fall/winter! Big hugs from us to you! D & T

  12. Sometimes writing a blog is fun and other times not so much. However, I know I enjoy going back once in a while and reading old blogs. It helps in remembering some of the good times. Take care and enjoy no matter what you do. Do what works for you.

  13. I have loved your blog and read it from beginning to end. I hope you will keep writing whenever you have something fun to write about. My brother once reminded me a blog isn't like a journal; you don't have to write every day. You can write when you feel like it and not write when you don't. It's not something you have to "catch up" when you get behind. That can feel like an overwhelming task. Instead, just start where you are and go forward.

My hope is when you get back on the road this fall and head south, that you'll haul out the keyboard again and take us along.

  14. Yeah, I know how you feel. Especially when we aren't traveling much. I'm keeping mine going, but not nearly as many blogs as before. I've just lost that blogging feeling most of the time. Same places, same birds, same flowers, same sunsets. I still love them, but they aren't exactly blogging fodder. Take care. :)

  15. While I'll miss your adventures apparently it's time for you to do something else with your time. Hopefully you will come back but what ever it is you choose to do I hope it's fun.
