This morning finds me (reasonably) rested after yesterday’s long and challenging driving day.  And I’m in no hurry to move !  I’m quite comfortable here at Wally’s in Bellingham and I ‘specks it will be another couple of hours before I get motivated to get behind the wheel.

“Springdale is a town in Washington County, Utah, United States. The population was 529 at the 2010 census - 548 (2013). It is located immediately outside the boundaries of Zion National Park, and is oriented around the resulting tourist industry. It was originally settled as a Mormon farming community in 1862. Springdale was named one of the 20 'prettiest towns' in the United States by Forbes Traveler in 2008.”

Just the ride alone from Hurricane, UT to Springdale, UT – a mere 22 Miles – is gorgeous and provides lots of twists and curves motorcycle riders so love. We rode there many times during our stay.

And the little town of Springdale is very, very pretty.  Well what town wouldn’t be with the mountains of Zion as its backdrop !

There are numerous shuttle bus’s that go through town (free) whereby you can get off/on at any point you want and as many times as you want.  This sure reduces the traffic in this tiny Town.  It even takes you to the Park’s entrance whereby you can take a bus tour through the Park.

And there sure is no shortage of restaurants/café’s and unique gift shops everywhere.

This bus through Zion goes to different places that is closed to regular traffic.  We took that the day after our ride.  The ride through Zion is awesome no doubt but as the rider I could barely get glimpses of the outstanding views.  By taking the bus tour I got to see lots more.

Hiking and rock climbing is very popular and we saw lots of both.

I saw this display while entering the park the day we took the bus tour.

It’s a collection of locks !

Some ‘art’ displayed (for sale of course) in front of the many little shops.

Another restaurant we stopped in for drinks.

Joe,  Don’t light the dynamite stick !!

And I’m still not finished with Zion.  Next up is our ride to Kolob Reservoir.

  6. According to Sufi philosophy, a prerequisite for happiness is the ability to sit with friends or people you love. You just need to sit back and do nothing, say nothing. Look at each other or do not even look. Delight comes from the fact that you are surrounded by people with whom you feel good
So, be happy , you have the good friends !!
