OH WHAT TITLE TO GIVE THIS POST ??

Certainly “FINALLY ! “ would be appropriate

01

As would, “SURE TOOK LONGER THAN I THOUGHT”

03

Or even, “I THOUGHT A TOAD WAS A FROG ??”

04

I could have called it “I MANAGED 1,213 DAYS WITHOUT ONE”

06

Of course the obvious would have been “THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT”

11

Just today I finally got the paperwork properly signed and notarized.  It’s officially MINE now !!

I sure wasn’t even looking.  It just fell into my lap during the course of a conversation.

I BOUGHT A CAR !!!!

It even came with the Blue Ox towing system.  All I have to do is hook up and go.

Isn’t she just the cutest little thing you ever saw !!

She’s a 1998 Chevy Tracker – making her 16 years old - so she’s an OLD girl – fits in well with Bennie & I.

She has about 83,000 Miles on her – which apparently is not a lot for a Tracker – I’ve heard they go to 200,000 – 300,000 Miles !

Her name is Ms. Daisy.

There’s absolutely NO bells and whistles on Ms. Daisy.  Manual windows – yes I have to roll the handle !!; no air-conditioning; no pressing a button to lock/unlock the doors, etc. etc.

And I LOVE her !!

The Gang here had to spend quite a bit of time with me showing me how to hook it up etc.

All I had to get was a Drop Down Hitch and a few locking pins.

09

Did a loop around the area to get a feel for this towing stuff.

08

Certainly never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be buying a CAR this year – but there you have it.

Opportunity knocks so you gotta answer.

And NOW I get to ESCAPE from Quartzsite !!

  1. Congrats!!!! I think you'll be so happy to have a little car to drive - especially when the weather is bad. Even Paul is thinking about a motorhome so he can tow a car and have his bike on a lift on the back of the MH. Love Ms Daisy.

  7. Having a toad just makes a whole lotta darn good sense to me & that little Tracker is just perfect. No bells & whistles in our Jeep either & it's my favorite vehicle of all times. Just think of all the really neat-o places you can go now. And lots of those places are where fancy cars can't go. Groovy:))

  13. CUTE!! I tow one almost exactly like it, only mine has a black top, and.......it's a 1994. It has 120,000 miles! Fun little "beach buggy!" I think you will really enjoy it.

  16. And here we's thinking you didn't like to tow ANYTHING! CONGRATS, Denise to this cute little addition. Guess you'll be going OFF_ROAD now?

  17. She's absolutely beautiful! Ms. Daisy is a perfect name, and she has a ROADRUNNER on her door. Can I say, "You had me at the Roadrunner?"

My only problem with Ms. Daisy is that every year you seem to get something new - bigger and better. How in the world are you going to top this???

Congratulations! I can't wait to see how you do, how you like it, how much easier things will be with a car, etc. And remember... WIDE TURNS - WIDE TURNS. I couldn't be happier for you! :))

  18. PS - I want a Roadrunner decal for The Palms! LOL

  22. I towed our little Tracker behind the big Class A and couldn't tell it was back there, was glad to have the backup camera so I could see it in my monitor. Just remember not to back up with it attached and you'll be fine. Congrats!

  24. Sassy, Cannot find an email address for you, so here goes,
On their Facebook Page Newmar is asking this question:

Does anyone have pictures of a Canyon Star Toy hauler with motorcycles in the garage area that they could upload onto our Facebook page. Thank you, Newmar

I immediately thought of you. Maybe you have a photo to share.
