VEGAS–PART 1

Now that I’m back on the road I had to pull out my VERY HI-TECH GPS.  You will notice two new, ground-breaking options I’ve added to it.

03

Yes, You are seeing it right – the addition of two pieces of scotch tape to the SIDES !!!  What will they come up with next ??  This prevents the ‘GPS’ from blowing around when I have the side window open.

Before reaching Las Vegas I stayed at the Railroad Pass Casino.  Certainly fine for a FREE over-night.  According to the picture posted on a bulletin board it has changed a bit since the late 1800’s.

01

Now….

02

I watched this lady walking her dog.  This poor dog could barely walk (it was obviously very, very old) and its tongue was hanging out of its mouth trying to catch a breath.  Broke my heart.  This morning she was even more impatient with it.

03

Look at this – I actually PASSED by a Harley Davidson store without stopping.  You will see later in this post I made up for that awful error !!

04

Ahhhh back to a BIG CITY and the madness of Interstate driving through a City.  After spending 6 months in the desert this was no fun. Guess this is Vegas huh ?

05

All big cities look alike don’t you think.

08

Got to my ‘boondocking’ spot and settled in.  This property is huge and sits on a 1/2 acre of land.

09

That’s the Owner’s rig behind the fence.  I’m allowing them to keep their rig parked there and also live in the house while I’m taking over it for a few days.  LOL

10

Meet Toby ……Sandie you and Jim would love this little dog.

11

This is the Owner’s dog and what a sweetie he is.  He loves playing with the hose and can be entertained for hours with it.  Toby and Bennie got along great.

Naturally the first order of business was to visit (one of the many) Harley Davidson’s stores.  This particular one is located less than a mile from my ‘home’.

I’ve been in some pretty large stores over the course of my travels, but I think this one is the largest by far.

I took all of the following pics solely for my buddy Byron…  Enjoy buddy !

The brilliance of the colour is not captured in this pic…..

My next (last ?) bike ???

In this one also, the camera isn’t giving the colour true justice.

Next up ----- THE STRIP !

  1. Looks like a great place to call home. He is sooo cute playing with that hose. Give him a lick from the girls. When will that couch be arriving at your house?

  3. So, what'd you buy at the Harley shop? I know you couldn't walk out without something or rather, many things.

I agree with you that all big cities look alike and .... I don't like most of them.

  7. Bite that hose Toby! Bite that hose! He's a hoot.

The pics in the showroom were awesome. Very hard to capture the whole 'jaw dropping' aspect.

  8. The 3 wheeler is great. You would love it and wonder why you didn't buy one earlier. Yes, its hard to give up the "ego" of riding 2 wheels. But never again will you have to worry about gravel or loose dirt or uneaven roads. I have one and now love it. After riding 2 wheels for over 20 years, I didn't think I could give it up, but after a year of riding the trike, its made my life so much easier. Karen

    Howdy Sassy,

You're getting good at the short videos!! Of course you have Academy Award quality actors to work with!!! That is one BIG H-D store, BUT NO customers!!! I'd like to have a 'trike' too, also; they don't 'lay-down on you at stop signs(my knees won't hold-up a 2-wheeler)!! Bennie is so adorable!!!
Make sure Froggi and Stu see this H-D store!!! Hope your trip to the warm part of Canada is safe & FUN!!!
