“IT” DIDN’T LISTEN TO ME

I’ve been (am) about as sick as I’ve ever been.  The whole she-bang !
Whole body aches…
Chilled to the bone when it’s at least 90F here in the rig….
Then yesterday those chills changed to the sweats whereby the water was pouring off me…
The coughing has been the worst though.  Can’t get anything up and my chest is so sore….
Absolutely no appetite…
It’s not too often I get ‘scared’ but when I’m this sick – well it does creep in.
The group here has been wonderful.  Checking in on me daily and offering to do/get anything that I might need.  They have to stay outside by the door though ‘cause I sure don’t want anyone to catch this from me.
I have a Pharmacy of things here I’ve been taking trying to relieve some of the symptoms.
Sure hope “IT” goes away soon.

  2. Sassy,

I was just about to email you and check. If you are no worse, that is good. You should start to improve soon. I'm glad you have folks looking out for you.

  3. Take care of yourself! I have had "IT" too and tomorrow I'll be starting my second course of Zithromax for it. Doc says this one's a hard one to get rid of.

  4. I feel so bad that there isn't anything I can do. I've been staying away because I don't dare bring anything home to Jim. But Lee keeps me advised. Tomorrow has got to be better for you. If you want to go to Parker to the doctor, I'll take you.

  6. Here is hoping you heal quickly. It sounds like you caught an awful flu. It is going around the country with gusto too.

  7. Hi Sassy, I hope you don't have Valley Fever. I had it a couple years ago and your symptoms sound pretty similar. It is pretty common for us northerner's to contract the disease as we have no immunity like the locals. You might want to google it to compare symptoms. I had a heavy rash down my front for a few days early on. There is just one medication which will knock it down. The local doctors should all be familiar with it. Best wishes.

  10. I'm so sorry - that sounds awful. If it's the flu, it's probably just a time thing, waiting to get better, and you'll do it even if it's miserable, but I'm worried about pneumonia. I don't think I'd take any changes, and maybe a doctor visit to listen to your lungs would be a good idea.

I hate to go to doctors ($$$$$$), but sometimes we just have to. I went to the urgent care clinic in San Diego the second week I was there and had acute sinusitis. Only when I started the Rx did I start to feel better. Not half as bad as what you have, but maybe there's something that will turn it around for you. I'll send some prayers up for you - take care, I hope you feel better soon!

  11. Been waiting to hear from you again...I hope you're alright. I had the same symptoms last year and almost died. Complications from pneumonia following the flu. Had it not been for the antibiotics, I wouldn't have made it. Please go to a doctor if you already haven't.

  20. I hope it's turning around for you, even if you are in the hospital (though those places are never that great for getting rest). Rest, drink water, rest...
