A QUICK UPDATE

Bennie is finally pretty much back to himself.  I still have him on soft food and his anti-biotics are not done yet.  I’m going to wait at least another week before I try him back on dry food.

I left the Casino and drove as far as Gila Bend for one day and did an O/N there.  This put me in the Phoenix area a day earlier than my appointment (tomorrow morning) to have the leak in my Generator dealt with.

Tonight I am the Guest of Cummins Rocky Mountain (ONAN repair facility) in Avondale, AZ

They got me settled in right away – they have a place for RV’s to park with 50 AMP hook-up !  Then the technician came to see me and I kinda suggested that seein’ as I’m here early perhaps they could start on my Generator today…….  In order to get at the gasket that is causing the oil leak the Generator has to come out completely.  So I kinda suggested that maybe they could take it out today, work on it while I’m sitting in the comforts of my own home.  He agreed !

The alternative was for them to take my rig into the service bays at 6:00AM – 6:00AM !!!!!!  And I would have to hang around their Customer Lounge all day.  It takes a minimum of one hour to take the Generator out and another hour to put it back in.  And several hours I imagine to repair it.  I sure was not looking forward to spending all that time in a Customer Lounge.

So now – at 6:00AM tomorrow – while they are working on the Generator – I’ll still be sound asleep !!

Also, because I got in the area early I stopped by an RV Service Centre (Little Dealer Little Prices) and they had a look at my Ramp Door.  It is far more work to fix that I had expected.  I’ll be bringing the rig to them as soon as I get finished up here.  More on that later…….

  1. It is really great that the generator repair facility would care enough to make your stay pleasurable. That is customer service that draws repeat customers and generates new business.

Sure hope you get that ramp door repaired to your satisfaction.

  5. Tell them to just be quiet and come on in. You can sleep in the bay while they're working .... can't you????

  6. If it is not one thing, it's another that needs attention! I cannot imagine having to be mobile at 6 a.m.
