PICTURES WILL HAVE TO SUFFICE FOR NOW

It's 10:30PM here and I'm just getting settled for the night !!!  And I'm wired !!

I just this second got Internet - on my little Netbook computer.  Been trying for hours on the other one and something is wrong with a wireless adaptor.  So that topped off the day.

After I went into that ditch I nearly got totally wiped out by an 18 wheeler !!!  NOT my fault.  So another BIG SCARE.

WHAT A DAY !!

Yes, we are all ok…..well except for DA HULK !

I have two computers going - working on this little Netbook is painfully slow !!
I still can't figure out what is wrong with my other computer ??  So I had to install the Verizon stick on this one etc. etc.

Then I was going to update the rest of the pictures on my Blog but realized they are on the other computer – so I had to get them on a thumb drive so I can get them on this computer blah blah blah

I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE TOMORROW !!!

Look and cry with me…..

  1. Ow, ow, ouch, ouch. Glad you were okay. I think you need a real strong hot toddy--medical purposes, of course. Where was that RV grabber located anyway. Sure should have been marked as dangerous.

  2. Holy cow! I'm glad you and Bennie are okay. And have my fingers crossed that the damage to your rig is mostly cosmetic. How's the bike?

    Hang in there! Big hugZ.

  3. How awful!! Those holes can certainly cause a lot of damage. The good thing is that you are fine and so is Bennie. Relax and rest before getting back on the road again.

  5. F**king culvert! You'd think they'd put a post there. Looks to me that others have had some difficulty there too.
If it's any consolation, and really, how could it be? I've had my share of "issues" with our motorhome.
The more I read, the more I realise that it HAPPENS TO EVERYONE. You just have to learn to deal with it. Mostly on an emotional level.
I remember the very first time I watched our motorhome drive away, (I had rented it out to a very nice couple) and I wasn't at the wheel! My heart rate did go up just a bit. Had to tell myself, "it's only a vehicle".
I realise your vehicle is where you live, but still...
You and the wee dog are the important ones. That's all. Doors can be fixed and painted etc.
You didn't rip off your sewer pipes, so it's all good!
When you get back to the "Rock" I'm sure you know of a good body shop that can sort it all out.
Probably not worth going through the insurance, so that kinda sucks.

    Chill.

  7. As expressed by all. You and Bennie are okay. That's all that matters. The first ding, scratch, dent hurts the most. I feel your pain, but you can't change it so don't sweat it. It can be fixed. Relax for a while. (I know, I know, easier said than done).

  8. I wonder if the owners of the property or the town/county/city can be held responsible for leaving that ditch unmarked or even there for that matter.

  9. Ouch! I said some bad words just looking at the pictures, I can imagine what it sounded like in person. Gah, that really sucks. Really sorry for your damage!

  11. Well... I'm very relieved that it looks like JUST the cargo door. If that's all the damage, you just have to order a new door, get it painted and either replace the decal or don't replace it. I hope the rest can be buffed out like mine was. I'm not saying it's cheap, but it was relatively easy and not TOO expensive. I was sick until it was repaired, but now it's just another experience. You'll feel the same way down the road.

I'm anxious to hear more. Don't worry about this, it is fixable and I'm SO glad no one was hurt. (I feel like crying with you.)

  12. Hopefully the damage is minimal, my heart sank when I saw the pictures. Hopefully it all gets sorted out and repaired soon.

    Good luck!
